The power of colors

If we close our eyes and imagine the following: a sunset or a sunrise, an open sea or a lagoon, a flowery meadow, a moss-covered forest or even a rainbow – vivid splashes and forms of colour come to life in our minds. Colour is an inevitable part of our life that surrounds us everywhere we go, it is present in an interesting office setting as well as in our wardrobes.

Every colour has a certain effect on us, it influences our mood and impacts our environment being an integral part of the picture we’d like to convey to our peers. Every shade carries an infinite amount of meaning, some of them have a calming effect, some inspire us or serve as a warning, let alone those combinations which signify closure or protection. Oftentimes people have a pre-sentiment as to which one may suit a given place, event or situation best, or we just feel which one would complement our mood. Of course it pays off to consider the colours that suit our appearance too.

The four colour seasons and their subcategories aren’t some newfound trends, these guidelines have been applied by stylists and designers ever since the 80s.
